About ME
I make art to express my deepest feelings. Painting allows me to take creative risks and explore the energy and vitality of life. Through my work, I aim to create a sense of connection, inviting the viewer to experience life’s essence and engage with the most genuine side of who I am. My art is about authentic expression and the power it has to build a bridge between us, offering a moment of healing and a reminder of our shared humanity.
My name is Andrea Jadresic, and I am a Chilean artist now living and working in Barcelona. I moved to the UK with my family when I was 11 years old and later earned my Bachelor of Arts in Painting from Winchester School of Art in 1986. During my studies, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to attend The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I spent six enriching months in 1985.
After 13 years in England, I returned to Chile, where I spent a decade teaching Visual Arts in the International Baccalaureate Program at the International School Nido de Aguilas in Santiago. In October 2024, I decided to begin a new chapter by moving to Barcelona. This move is an opportunity to share and grow my art across Europe while embracing a new lifestyle and the cultural richness of the continent.
My work has been included in private collections across Europe, the USA, Latin America, and Australia. A career highlight was participating in the Art Takes Times Square exhibition in New York in 2012.
